The word "yoga" comes from the Sanskrit root "yuj", which means "to yoke" the spirit and physical body together. Yoga has been proven to lower blood pressure and increase strength and flexibility. Yoga energizes our bodies and calms our minds; linking breath with movement.

Goal of the yoga class:
The goal of this yoga class is not for your child to do yoga poses perfectly, but rather for the child to foster an integrative approach that addresses their brain, mind, body, and spirit in a seamless fashion. Another objective is to help the child maintain their natural wisdom and radiance, in addition to having FUN on the mat! Older kids, however, can expect to learn more about correct alignment and more difficult poses.
Class consists on:
The class consists of songs, games, and stories combined with yoga elements for the child to acquire more awareness about himself/herself. Yoga is about going inward and respecting yourself and others.
